Rooted in Portland

Built like a local shop, roasted like a craft house.

Bean & Forge started with garage roasting experiments and grew into a Portland-area cafe company that still favors people over polish.

Sustainability Craftsmanship Connection

Our Story

Bean & Forge Coffee Roasters began as a late-night roasting project between two friends who cared about coffee that felt personal. What started in a garage became a set of cafes where careful roasting, local food partners, and familiar faces matter more than scale.

Keeping It Portland

Portland shapes the way we work. We source with sustainability in mind, partner with local bakers and makers, and leave room for the odd, creative, and neighborly details that make a cafe worth returning to.

Proudly Serving Our Community

Our cafes are designed as everyday gathering places: quick enough for the morning commute, comfortable enough for a long conversation, and open to artists, students, families, and remote workers.

Looking Forward

We keep experimenting with seasonal drinks, single-origin coffees, community events, and new ways to bring better coffee into Portland homes.

The point is not to look bigger than the neighborhood. It is to make the daily stop feel considered, warm, and easy to return to.

01

Roast with restraint

Batches stay small enough to keep profiles intentional and seasonal coffees moving while they are fresh.

02

Keep the menu useful

Classic espresso, flexible food, and beans for home do the heavy lifting before limited specials get added.

03

Leave room for people

The cafes are built for fast mornings, lingering afternoons, and small events that make the room feel shared.
